Position Summary/Objective:
The Quality Systems Technician serves as the primary point of contact for customer complaints, and nonconforming
product management. This role is responsible for providing feedback to the production floor and coordinating corrective
actions to ensure the quality management system complies with all customer-specific requirements.
Primary Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Managing Customer Notifications and Complaints – North America
Serve as the primary contact for customer complaints, portals and notifications for MMSUS and MLS divisions, maintaining communication to customer, Ensuring effective and timely resolution of customer
concerns.
Collaborate with the Supplier Quality Team to investigate and resolve issues identified as supplier
related.
Lead cross-functional teams in analyzing and resolving nonconforming parts returned from customers,
identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
Manage Return Material Authorization (RMA) processes as required while working with accounting
department to reconcile debits and credits
Contain and control nonconforming inventory to ensure nonconforming products are evaluated prior
to use or shipment.
Coordinate manufacturing sort activities to verify product conformity before release.
2. Supporting the Manufacturing Floor with Customers Requirements
Provide guidance and training to the manufacturing floor regarding customer-specific requirements,
ensuring clarity and compliance throughout production.
Assist in developing and improving Work Instructions (WI) to enhance consistent application of
customer requirements.
Maintain the CS1 Log, ensuring all parts identified for a CS1 process are followed.
Create, coordinate, and monitor Parts Bulletins and Temporary Work Instructions (TWIs), ensuring
timely updates and removal from the PLEX system once expired.
Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Nonconforming Product Process, overseeing PLEX-related functions such as rejections, dispositions, and part status changes.
Actively participate in Daily Material Review Board (MRB) meetings
3. Assist in managing the 8D Process
Assist in MFG internal 8D problem-Solving process within PLEX to ensure timely and effective
resolution of internal and external quality issues.
Assist warehouse to contain inventory to ensure all nonconforming (NC) products are properly
evaluated before use or shipment.
Coordinate manufacturing sort activities to verify product acceptability
Serve as the PLEX Problem Log Administrator, ensuring accurate and up-to-date tracking of all 8D
records and corrective actions.
Report status updates on all open corrective actions (8Ds), ensuring proper closure
Supporting assigned champions through each step of the problem-solving process

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.

organization.

Education and/or Experience
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PLEX (or equivalent ERP) software systems.
Experience in 8D and 5 whys required
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably within the
automotive industry.
An associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field (Quality, Engineering, or Manufacturing) is
preferred.
